Thomas Genealogy Library, 300 North McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.
This will be a research meeting.
We have a speaker scheduled for June 1, 2014 from the Western Pennsylvania
Genealogical Society. More information and details on this at a later date.

Happy New Year and a new Genealogy Season for 2014.
The Genealogy Committee of the Armstrong County Historical Museum and Genealogy Society will be Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM in the Mildred Lankerd Thomas Genealogy Library, 300 North McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.
This will be a research meeting and a time to share all the items we have discovered over the winter months. Bring along your thoughts and ideas for speakers for this upcoming season.

The Genealogy Committee of the Armstrong County Historical Museum and Genealogy Society will hold their monthly meeting on Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM in the Mildred Lankerd Thomas Genealogy Library – 300 North McKean Street, Kittanning, PA
This will be the last meeting for the year and will be a research meeting. This will also be our end of the year social. Persons attending are asked to bring a snack item to share with the others, ie., cookies, chips, drinks, dessert, etc.
We will have a short business meeting and will be selecting a Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and Secretary for the new year. Ideas will also be needed for speakers for the 2014 year.

The Genealogy Committee of the Armstrong County Historical and Genealogy Society will hold their monthly meeting on Sunday, October 6, 2013 from 2-4 PM in the Mildred Lankerd Thomas Genealogy Library – 300 North McKean St., Kittanning, PA.
Guest speaker will be Larry Smail of West Kittanning. He will be presenting a program and discussion on the Indians of the Kittanning area and their point of view in regards to the French and Indian War Period. Larry will also have several of his original paintings of that time period on display.
The Lenni-Lenape history from William Penn’s time to the years after that war will be discussed along with some reasons as to why these natives entered the war and why they sided with the French.
