The Genealogy Committee of the Armstrong County Historical Museum and Genealogy
Society will meet on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM in the
Mildred Lankerd Thomas Genealogy Library, 300 North McKean Street, Kittanning PA.
This is one week later than the normally scheduled meeting due to the Labor Day
holiday.
Speaker for the September meeting will be Beth Caporali of the Victorian Vandergrift
Museum & Historical Society, Inc. She will be discussing the collections, both
artifacts and genealogy wise. There is a large collection of local artifacts as
well as the George Nasser Memorial Library, a dedicated genealogy research library
that covers both Westmoreland and Armstrong Counties.
Upcoming in October:
October 3, 2015 – Tarentum Genealogy Conference to be held at the Clarion Hotel.
October 4, 2015 – Program on the history of the old Stone House in Butler County
that once served as a stagecoach stop.
